Market Fresh Meals

Market Fresh Meals is a fundraising event created by SCIO in collaboration with local chefs and the farmers market. Each month, customers will have the opportunity to order a new Market Fresh Meal featuring a different local chef. In addition to fresh produce, the Market Fresh Meal will include additional ingredients to assemble a meal designed to feed a family of four. Each box will sell for $45 and will include a recipe card and a link to a culinary video showcasing locally grown, seasonal ingredients from the vendors at the market.

July, 2021 Market Fresh Meal

July’s Market Fresh Meal featuring Chef Dean Elvert of Parker John’s. Chicken & Veggie Pasta Primavera & Skillet Baked Peach Cobbler

On the last day of each month, pre-ordered Market Fresh Meals will be assembled for customer pick-up, similar to Market Fresh Boxes. You will create these meals by cooking alongside the chef using the video links and recipe cards created by local chefs.

Meal pick up is on the last Saturday of the month with orders accepted through the prior Saturday. The meal kits will be provided to customers at the SCIO information tent from 10:30 to 12:30. The SCIO tent is located on 8th Street near the fountain. Just look for the teal tent!

These local, highly regarded chefs will be providing the following mouth-watering meals:

July:  Chef Dean Elvert of Parker John’s, Menu:  Chicken & Veggie Pasta Primavera & Skillet Baked Peach Cobbler

August:  Chef Brian Thompson of Handheld Delights, Menu:  Vegetable Quiche & Fruit Parfait

September:  Chef Alvira Betsa of Czech Please Catering, One-Pan Chicken & Apple Cake

Watch for this to return next year!
