Lisa Stephan

Lisa resides in Plymouth, WI with her husband, Matt, and has three children, Kyanne, Jade and Michael.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lakeland College with a major in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Social Welfare. She later went on to receive her Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Higher Education from Lakeland College.  She is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas, where she has served as a Faith Formation instructor for a number of years.  Lisa loves to spend time with her family, cooking, raising miniature schnauzers, playing cards and traveling.  She believes that our God-given talents and treasures should be shared with others through servant leadership to positively impact those in our community.

Joua was born and raised in Colorado and relocated to Wisconsin when she married her husband. They have been married for 20 years and have 4 children together. They also have a 1-year-old Malti-poo. Joua graduated from Lakeland University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and in 2021 with a Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Development. Joua is currently enrolled at Concordia University in the Doctoral of Business Administration focus on Organizational Change and Performance program.  Joua’s family loves to travel and play board games together. She is so thankful for the volunteer opportunities that she participated in the community, as those opportunities led her to re-focus on what she’s truly passionate about.

Maria graduated from UW-Milwaukee in December of 2009 with a BFA in visual art and dance. In January of 2017, Maria travelled to Guinea, West Africa, to further her study of West African dance and culture. Upon her return, Maria began working at SCIO as the Farmers Market Manager for the entirety of the 2017 season. Life-changing events led Maria back to Guinea in 2018 and away from her position at SCIO. In May of 2019, Maria returned to SCIO to begin work again with the Farmers Market. She is very happy to be back in the Sheboygan community where she resides with her husband, Salia. In addition to the Farmers Market, Maria dances with Nafaya, the African Drum & Dance Company in Sheboygan, and is an active member in the Sheboygan arts community. 
Abby, Bridgeway Case Manager

Abby was born and raised in Sheboygan, WI where she currently resides with her son and teddy bear puppy. After graduating with her Police Science degree, she served as a law enforcement officer for twenty years. Abby later received her AODA certification and has worked as a case manager with the homeless population for over ten years.  Abby volunteers her time in the local recovery community and also enjoys working with memory care and dementia patients. Abby loves spending time with family and friends. She also likes to paint, sing, play board games, and work in the garden.

Rhie Lorenz is the mother of four grown children and four growing grandchildren, all of whom have shaped her life immeasurably. Rhie has worked as an advocate in the lives of individuals in her community since 2003. Her unique background and life experiences bring an understanding and compassion to the work she does in her professional life with SCIO as a Program Assistant in Bridgeway. In addition to this work, she is also a Reproductive Advocate in her own long standing business as a Doula, Breastfeeding and Childbirth educator and student midwife.

Michele is originally from New Jersey and since moving to Wisconsin she has been functioning within the Sheboygan County Health and Human Services field working with at-risk youth and their families. Michele also does mentoring for adults with addictions and mental health. Michele is finishing her degree in Behavioral Sciences with a focus in Crisis Counseling, Trauma Informed Care and Psychology. Michele believes that every human being has purpose, worth, and value regardless of their past. The human heart is resilient through love and care. A person can overcome their fears and past to discover who they really are and we have a responsibility to teach them what we have learned and provide as many opportunities as we can for them to succeed and become a productive member of society.
 

Alex Klitzman

Alex was born and raised in West Bend, WI but lives in Howards Grove, WI throughout the school year. Alex is currently in her senior year at Lakeland University. She will be graduating this May with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Alex plans to further her education and pursue a master’s degree in Social Work to hopefully one day become a Clinical Therapist. When Alex is not working or in school, she loves spending time with her friends and family. She also loves to travel, work out, spend time at her family’s lake house, and attend concerts in her free time. Alex is thrilled to be working as a Program Assistant at Bridgeway because it is an amazing experience for her as she furthers her career in the psychology fiel

Stenisha Bowen Stenisha Bowen

Stenisha was born and raised in Milwaukee, and graduated from Lakeland University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is now enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in the Masters of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Developmental Psychology program. With this degree, Stenisha has high hopes of becoming a school counselor for students in low income areas. In the far future, Stenisha has plans of operating an after school facility for children. In her free time, Stenisha likes to go home to see family and friends, hang out with her cat, cook, and shop.
